BRDS’s vision is to become a transformational organization that impacts positively on the hopes, aspirations and capacities of poorest of individuals, families and communities in rural Bihar, building pathways for them to come out of poverty. Its key objectives are:

• To empower rural poor through the process of a rights based law and to foster conditions for inclusive growth.
• To undertake, aid and promote rural development programmes.
• To be the nodal agency for MGNREGS in Bihar.
• To function as a resource centre, including a knowledge centre for the RDD, GoB
